The Neway CSC is a globe-type control valve featuring a cage-guided balanced trim, designed for linear flow control in liquids, gases, and steam. Cage guidance is utilized for stable plug movement, improved performance at higher Δp, and reduced lateral forces on the stem.
The series covers 1-1/2"–20" / DN40–DN500 as per the datasheet, with product page availability up to 30" / DN750. Pressure ratings include ASME Class 150–2500 / PN16–PN420. Body materials are available in carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and duplex stainless steel.
The balanced cage trim reduces actuator force requirements compared to unbalanced single-seat trim. Suitable for control loops with variable Δp or larger diameters requiring controlled actuator thrust.
Available characteristics:
Rangeability is 50:1. Characteristic selection is based on load profile, desired controllability, and valve Δp to system Δp ratio.
Connections include FF, RF, RTJ, LF, and BW. Face-to-face dimensions per ISA S75.03 for Class 150–600 and ISA S75.16 for Class 900–2500. Temperature range from -196°C to +538°C, with standard, extension, or low-temperature bonnet. Design per IEC 60534.
Seat leakage defined by FCI 70-2, available in Class IV, V, and VI; Class VI requires soft seat. Compatible with pneumatic actuators PDL/PCL or electric AUMA / ROTORK, depending on thrust, fail position, and available instrument air pressure.
When to choose cage-guided over single-seated?
When Δp or valve size requires balanced trim and improved plug guidance.
