Genebre 2528AV ANSI 150 V-Port Control Ball Valve

The Genebre 2528AV is a two-piece V-port control ball valve with flanged ANSI Class 150 ends and a CF8M / 316 stainless steel body. Designed for proportional flow control in industrial process lines, it is not intended for simple on/off isolation.

V-Port Selection

The V-port angle determines available Kv and flow response at partial openings. V30 is used for finer control at low openings and lower flow rates. V60 covers intermediate ranges. V90 provides higher Kv at full open.

For example, at DN50, Kv at 100% open is 31.6 / 68.4 / 131.5 for V30 / V60 / V90. At DN100, values are 124.8 / 258.6 / 507.7 respectively.

Difference from 2526AV

2528AV uses CF8M/316 stainless steel, while 2526AV is carbon steel WCB. 2528AV is selected where process media or environment require stainless steel construction.

Installation & Operation

Valve has defined flow direction and must be installed per the arrow on the body. Flanges should be clean, parallel, and free from misalignment stresses. A strainer is recommended upstream, especially in lines with particulates or welding debris.

What is required for selection?
DN, V30/V60/V90, required Kv, differential pressure, media, temperature, ANSI class, and actuator or handle type.

When is it not suitable?
Not recommended for media that solidifies, crystallizes, or polymerizes and remains in the ball cavity without a flushing procedure.
