Sirca 301TT Wafer/Lug Butterfly Valve
The Sirca 301TT is a bidirectional butterfly valve with PTFE-lined wetted surfaces, intended for isolation and flow-control duties involving corrosive or chemically aggressive fluids. It is available in wafer and lug configurations for installation between industrial pipeline flanges.
Operating Data
- Size range: DN40–DN300
- Maximum working pressure: 10 bar
- Flange compatibility: PN10, PN16 and ASME Class 150
- Face-to-face dimensions: EN 558, Series 20
- Actuator mounting interface: ISO 5211
- Flow direction: bidirectional
The allowable operating temperature and pressure must be confirmed against the manufacturer’s pressure–temperature limits and the chemical compatibility of the lining.
Construction and Media Compatibility
The PTFE lining limits contact between the process medium and the metallic valve components. Selection should consider:
- chemical composition and concentration
- operating and cleaning temperatures
- pressure and vacuum conditions
- permeation or swelling risk
- solids content and abrasive particles
Typical services include acids, alkaline solutions, chemical reagents and compatible process liquids. Abrasive media require additional assessment because wear can damage the PTFE surface.
Actuation Options
The ISO 5211 interface permits installation of:
- manual lever or gearbox
- double-acting pneumatic actuator
- spring-return pneumatic actuator
- electric quarter-turn actuator
- positioner, solenoid valve and limit-switch box
Actuator sizing must use the valve torque at the actual differential pressure, with an appropriate service factor.
Wafer and Lug Versions
The wafer body is clamped between two flanges. The lug version incorporates mounting lugs and is selected where the piping arrangement requires independent bolting or controlled dismantling. End-of-line use must be verified against the permitted pressure rating.
Compliance
The 301TT series is included in the manufacturer’s PED 2014/68/EU and ATEX 2014/34/EU declarations. The ATEX declaration covers Group II, Category 2 equipment for gas Zones 1/2 and dust Zones 21/22, subject to the stated installation conditions.
