Butterfly valve Wafer/Lug Type 301TSS | Sirca

Sirca 301TSS Wafer/Lug Butterfly Valve

The Sirca 301TSS is a bidirectional butterfly valve with a PTFE seat, designed for isolation and flow-control duties involving corrosive or chemically aggressive fluids. The standard wetted trim consists of an AISI 316 stainless-steel disc and stems.

Operating Data

  • Size range: DN40–DN400

  • Temperature range: −40 to +130 °C; higher temperatures subject to manufacturer review

  • Maximum differential pressure: 10.5 bar

  • Vacuum service: down to 10⁻² Torr

  • Flange compatibility: PN6, PN10, PN16 and ASME Class 150 RF

  • Actuator mounting: ISO 5211

  • Bidirectional, self-cleaning construction

Seat and Construction

The seat incorporates a 2 mm PTFE layer vulcanised onto an elastomer backing and reinforced by an internal metal ring. This arrangement provides dimensional stability and isolates the valve body from the process medium. Additional flange gaskets are normally not required.

The floating stem-to-disc connection centres the disc inside the seat without external screws or bolts. Optional disc materials include Monel K, Hastelloy C and titanium for services where AISI 316 does not provide sufficient corrosion resistance.

Actuation Options

  • Ten-position manual lever

  • Manual gearbox

  • Pneumatic quarter-turn actuator

  • Electric actuator

Positioners, solenoid valves and limit-switch boxes may be fitted for automated isolation or modulating control.

Typical Applications

  • Chemical and pharmaceutical processing

  • Food and beverage production

  • Breweries and distilleries

  • Pulp and paper plants

  • Marine and shipyard systems

  • Corrosive liquid and compatible gas services

Media selection must consider concentration, temperature, pressure and compatibility with PTFE, AISI 316 and the elastomer backing.

Wafer and Lug Versions

The wafer body uses centring holes for installation between pipeline flanges. The lug version is supplied with drilled or threaded lugs where independent flange bolting or specific dismantling requirements apply.
