Sirca 401N Double-Offset Butterfly Valve
The Sirca 401N is a double-offset butterfly valve for industrial isolation and controlled throttling duties. The offset shaft geometry moves the disc away from the seat during the initial opening movement, reducing seat friction, operating torque and sealing-surface wear compared with concentric butterfly valves.

Materials and Seat Options
Body and disc materials include ductile iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. Stem options include AISI 304, AISI 316 and precipitation-hardened AISI 630.
The replaceable PTFE/carbon-filled PTFE seat is used for compatible chemical and process fluids. A metal seat in Inconel 625 LCF is available for elevated-temperature or demanding process conditions. Material selection must consider pressure, temperature, corrosion rate, fluid concentration and thermal cycling.
Actuation
The valve can be fitted with:
-
Manual gearbox
-
Double-acting or spring-return pneumatic actuator
-
Electric quarter-turn actuator
-
Positioner, solenoid valve and limit-switch box
Actuator sizing must be based on actual differential pressure, seating torque, operating frequency and the required safety factor.
Industrial Applications
Typical duties include chemical and pharmaceutical processing, solvent recovery systems, petrochemical services, marine installations and automated utility lines. Double-offset construction is selected where repeated cycling, higher temperature or reduced seat wear is required.
Certifications
Available compliance options include PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU and SIL assessment according to IEC 61508/61511. The S401N-FS version is available with fire-safe certification according to ISO 10497.
