ARI-FABA®-Supra I ANSI — Bellows Seal Industrial Version

The ARI-FABA®-Supra I ANSI is a globe stop valve with a metallic bellows designed for isolation or controlled throttling in steam lines, condensates, hot water, thermal oil, gases, and process liquids. The Supra I version features the bellows outside the main flow path, making it suitable for pulsating or turbulent flow downstream of pumps, bends, and branches.

Versions and Connections

• Fig. 141: Flanged, Class 150 / Class 300, body SA216WCB, DN15–DN250 / NPS 1/2"–10".
• Fig. 149: Threaded BSP/NPT or socket weld, Class 300, body SA105, DN15–DN50 / NPS 1/2"–2".
• Flanges per ASME/ANSI B16.5, face-to-face per ANSI B16.10, NPT per ASME/ANSI B1.20.1, socket weld per ASME/ANSI B16.11.

Materials and Sealing

The bellows is SA240 Gr.316Ti, the stem SA479 Gr.316Ti, the seat E347-16, and secondary sealing is achieved with pure graphite. The standard plug is metallic with a marginal seat; regulating plug and soft seal PTFE + 25% carbon are available, with a limit of 200°C.

Sizing

In the flanged version Fig.141, Kvs values are approximately 4.2–980 m³/h for Class 150 and 4.7–1090 m³/h for Class 300. In Fig.149, Kvs is 2.8–26 m³/h. For DN150, DN200, and DN250, a balancing plug is required when ΔP exceeds 21, 14, and 9 bar respectively.

Automation and Installation

Supra versions with two-piece stem can accommodate a pneumatic actuator ARI-FA, spring-close or spring-open. The medium temperature limit for this configuration is 250°C and is not applicable to versions with a balancing plug.
