Valvosider ASME — Bellow Seal Globe Valve

The Valvosider ASME bellow seal globe valve is designed for applications requiring stem leakage isolation. Suitable for steam, condensates, hot water, thermal oils, gases, and industrial fluids, especially where piping specifications follow ASME Class rather than PN.

Construction and Standards

Features a bolted bonnet, outside screw and yoke, rising stem, non-rising handwheel, and renewable seats. Design follows BS 1873 / ASME B16.34, face-to-face per ASME B16.10, flanges per ASME B16.5, BW ends per ASME B16.25, testing per API 598 / API 6D / BS 6755, rating per ASME B16.34, and marking MSS-SP 25 / CE-PED.

Materials and Sealing

Available in WCB, LCB, WC6, C5, C12, CF8, CF8C, CF8M, and CF3M bodies. Packing consists of graphite rings with wiper rings, and the bellow isolates the stem from the medium, reducing atmospheric leakage. Seat/disc overlay options include Stellite, Monel, or Hastelloy.

Application Selection

Selection should consider:

• ASME Class and pressure-temperature rating.
• NPS size and required face-to-face.
• Differential pressure below the disc.
• Compatibility of body, trim, bellow, and gaskets with the medium.
• Manual, gear, or actuated operation requirements.

For pressure below the disc, indicative ΔP limits are: 85 bar at 3", 21 bar at 6", 9 bar at 10", and 4 bar at 16". Above these, a gear operator or installation with pressure above the disc and bypass is required.

Options

Available options include top flange ISO 5210, gear, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuator, limit switches, locking/interlock, PTFE insert disc, parabolic disc, stop-check disc, live loaded packing, drain plug, bypass, BW ends, and DIN connections.
