The Valvosider DIN 90° Angle valve is a globe valve designed for isolating lines where a 90° flow direction change is required, minimizing stem leakage. Suitable for steam, condensate, hot water, thermal circuits, gases, and industrial fluids. The angle design reduces the need for separate elbows and valves, but pressure drop and piping stress must be monitored.
Body materials: 1.0619, 1.4408, 1.4581, depending on PN, temperature, and media compatibility.
Features bolted bonnet, outside screw and yoke, with rising stem, rising handwheel, and loose disc. Bellows made of X6CrNiTi18-10, with stainless steel reinforced graphite gaskets and graphite ring packing with wiper rings.
Designed according to EN 12516, face-to-face per EN 12982 / EN 558, tested per EN 12266, rated per EN 1092, marked EN 19, CE-PED, material certificates EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.
For flow under the disc, maximum allowable ΔP must be checked. Indicative: DN80 85 bar, DN150 21 bar, DN200 14 bar, DN300 6 bar, DN600 2.2 bar. Higher ΔP requires gear operator or pressure over disc with bypass.
Available with top flange ISO 5210, gear, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuator, position indicators, limit switches, locking/interlock, PTFE soft seats, regulating disc, double-stage disc, stop-check disc, live loaded packing, drain plug, and BW ends.
When to choose an angle valve over a straight valve?
When piping changes direction by 90° and isolation with bellows sealing is required.
Can it be used for throttling?
Only with regulating disc and control of ΔP, noise, flow velocity, and seat wear.
