Adler VT5 4-Way Ball Valve

The Adler VT5 is a four-way, full-bore wafer-type ball valve with an X-port ball and 90° rotation. It is used for flow switching between four branches, replacing multiple two-way valves in process circuits. Flow configuration must be defined in the P&ID, as the X-port geometry allows specific port communication patterns only.

Operational Use

VT5 is applied in line switching, bypass circuits, flow distribution, tank selection, or heat exchanger circuits requiring synchronized switching of two paths. Not suitable for throttling; primarily for on/off position switching.

Manufactured to ANSI B16.34, BS EN 12516-2, and full bore per ISO 14313. On request: PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, fire-safe ISO 10497 / API 607, ISO 15848 class A, oxygen cleaning per ISO 23208, cryogenic execution, stem extension, pneumatic/electric actuator, gear operator, limit switches, solenoid valves.

When to select VT5 over RT7?
When a flanged wafer 4-way configuration is required, for larger DN, or for EN/ANSI flange connections.

What should be checked before selection?
DN, PN/Class, X-port configuration, allowed operating positions, body material, PTFE/RPTFE seat, actuator torque, and requirements for ATEX, fire-safe, or ISO 15848.

Available size from DN 15 to DN 150 in carbon steel, stainless steel and special steel

Rating PN 10 ÷ 40 (On request ANSI 150).

With “X” bore type ball.
