Adler RT7 4-Way Ball Valve

The Adler RT7 is a four-way ball valve with an X-port ball configuration, designed for flow path switching in industrial process circuits. The compact wafer type body is machined from round bar, with threaded connections per ISO 7-1 Rp / GAS or NPT to ASME B1.20.1. Available in sizes 1/4" to 2" and pressure classes PN25 to PN63.

Technical Data

  • Design: 4-way ball valve, X-port ball
  • Standards: DIN 3202 M3, ASME B16.34, ISO 14313
  • Full bore per ISO 14313
  • Body materials: ASTM A105 or ASTM A479 316/316L
  • Ball: AISI 304/304L, CF8, 316/316L, or CF8M
  • Seats: PTFE, optional RPTFE
  • Stem sealing: PTFE / graphite chevron rings
  • Stem O-ring: FKM / Viton on request
  • Top flange: ISO 5211
  • Stem: anti blow-out
  • Antistatic device: BS 5146
  • Tested 100% with air, submerged, at 100 psi.

Operational Use

The X-port ball enables multiple flow path combinations between four ports. Typical applications include flow distribution, line switching, bypass circuits, tank selection, or replacing multiple two- or three-way valves in process systems. Flow path geometry must be specified in P&ID, as the four-way configuration can create unintended port communication if not properly oriented.

Certifications & Options

On request: PED 2014/68/EU, ATEX 2014/34/EU, fire-safe ISO 10497 / API 607 / BS6755, ISO 15848 fugitive emission class A, SIL 3 capable, oxygen cleaning per ISO 23208, cryogenic execution, stem extension, pneumatic or electric actuator, gear operator, limit switches, and solenoid valves.

FAQ

When is a four-way valve selected over a three-way?
When four branch circuits must be managed with a single switching device.

What should be checked before selection?
X-port flow pattern, DN, PN, ISO or NPT thread, body material, PTFE/RPTFE seat, actuator torque, and requirements for ATEX, fire-safe, or ISO 15848 compliance.
