Genebre 2453 – Flanged Ball Check Valve

The Genebre 2453 is a flanged-end ball check valve designed for liquid lines where suspended solids, increased viscosity, or viscous media are present. The ball is actuated by differential flow pressure and reseats when flow decreases or reverse pressure occurs. No actuator is required.

Operating Limits

Maximum working pressure: 16 bar. Operating temperature: -10°C to +80°C. Not suitable for steam service.

Dimensions and Hydraulic Data

Available sizes: 2" to 10", all PN16. Kv values range from 95 m³/h (2") to 3000 m³/h (10") for water. Minimum opening pressure (vertical installation): 2.5 mbar (2") to 38 mbar (10"). In horizontal installations, opening pressure is effectively near zero.

Applications

Suitable for wastewater, industrial water, viscous or contaminated liquids, and pump discharge lines requiring full bore flow. Selection should verify compatibility of GGG-40, NBR, epoxy coating, and ball material with the process fluid.
