Automatic On/Off Valve AWS Type 730

The AWS Type 730 is a pneumatically operated 2/2-way angle seat valve with a piston and external control. It operates in NC mode, meaning normally closed without air pressure. The flow closes with the direction of the medium, a factor to be monitored in applications with high differential pressure or potential water hammer.

Operating Range

• DN10–DN50, with DN65 available upon request.
• Operating pressure up to 16 bar.
• Kv from 4.7 to 52.8 m³/h.
• Medium temperature: -10°C to +180°C.
• Ambient temperature: up to +60°C.
• Maximum viscosity: 600 mm²/s.
• Installation position: any.

Materials and Sealing

The body is made of stainless steel and the actuator head of anodized aluminum. The seat is available with PTFE or RTFE, while the shaft sealing is PTFE. Seat leakage is class A according to EN 12266-1.

Connections

Available with internal thread G 3/8" to G 2". Versions with welding ends according to DIN EN 10357, formerly DIN 11850, and DIN EN ISO 1127 / ISO 4200 are available upon request.

Actuation and Actuator Selection

Control medium is compressed air, with control pressure 3–7 bar. Actuator selection of 50, 63, or 80 mm should be based on control pressure diagrams, especially for DN40–DN50. For DN50, the 63 mm actuator covers up to 10 bar, while the 80 mm up to 16 bar.
