B-Safety ClassicLine BR 960 005 – Portable Eyewash Station with Stainless Steel Tank

The BR 960 005 is a portable eyewash station equipped with a stainless steel tank (16 L gross capacity), mounted on a hand trolley with solid rubber wheels. Designed for deployment in locations lacking permanent water supply or where mobile equipment is required for maintenance, loading, or chemical handling operations.

Technical Specifications

  • Usable fill volume: 14 L
  • Filling pressure: 7 bar
  • Flow rate: 7 l/min
  • Discharge duration: approx. 2 min
  • Alternate version BR 960 005 / 1L: 1.7 l/min, approx. 5 min discharge
  • Dimensions: 850 × 450 × 225 mm
  • Water filling: top-mounted hinged lid
  • Compressed air connection: standard tire-type valve

Operation

Activation is via the connected hand-held eyewash nozzle (single head). The handle features adjustable actuation and a non-self-closing valve to maintain flow during rinsing. The hose is stainless steel braided, 1.5 m length, with ½” female connection.

System includes automatic flow regulator and backflow prevention. After tank filling, 7 bar air pressure must be applied via the side air valve prior to use.

Standards and Use Limitations

Compliant with EN 15154-4:2009, ANSI Z358.1-2014, and GOST-R. Eyewash signage per EN ISO 7010 / ASR A1.3, 150 × 150 mm, with 15 m recognition distance.

Due to a discharge duration below 15 minutes, this station is classified as an interim measure until access to a plumbed safety shower is available, as determined by risk assessment.

Applications

Suitable for construction sites, remote maintenance areas, chemical storage, loading zones, temporary production setups, and locations without fixed water supply.

Fluid Maintenance

Optional additive BR 910 980 available for tank water, dosage 10 ml per 100 L, enabling water preservation for up to 6 months.

Product description

Tank eye showers can be used to provide economical first aid in these locations as well. Transportable eye showers with a tank capacity of 16 liters are most commonly used. However, showers with a flushing time of less than 15 minutes should only be used to bridge the gap until a permanently installed shower is reached.

The B-SAFETY ClassicLine tank eye shower BR960005 has a 16-liter tank made of stainless steel. The filling takes place via the large hinged lid attached at the top. A minimum filling pressure of 7 bar must then be reached via the tire filling valve located on the side of this. The shower is then triggered by actuating the connected hand-held eye shower and the filled water is completely drained via the hand-held eye shower.
