ADCA ADCAMat ECRUV – Vertical Electric Condensate Return Unit
The ADCA ECRUV is an electric unit designed for the collection and return of hot condensate in a vertical receiver configuration. It is utilized when condensate needs to be elevated to a higher level or directed to a higher pressure line, typically towards a boiler feedwater tank. Standard models accommodate flow rates up to 4 m³/h.
Operating Principle
Condensate enters through top connections via stainless steel dispersion pipes. As the level rises in the tank, conductive level switches activate the electric pump. The unit operates at atmospheric pressure and requires a free vent and overflow line.

Materials and Options
The tank is made from P235GH / 1.0325 or AISI 316 / 1.4401. The frame can be S235JR or AISI 304. Options include full or partial stainless steel construction, mineral wool insulation, aluminum external protection, different flow rates, and special configurations.
ECRUV vs. ECRU
The ECRUV employs a vertical receiver and covers smaller standard flow rates up to 4 m³/h. The ECRU is a horizontal unit, suitable for larger flow rates and different installation layouts. Selection depends on available space, condensate flow, head, temperature, and maintenance requirements.
Compliance
The ECRUV operates exclusively at atmospheric pressure and is outside the scope of PED. It complies with the Machinery Directive and carries CE marking. The integrated panel also meets low voltage and EMC requirements.
FAQ
When is a vertical unit selected?
When there is limited horizontal footprint or small to medium condensate flow.
What is required for sizing?
Flow rate, temperature, static height, return line pressure, available NPSH, and construction material.
