NORIS Type 885 – Dual-Sided Safety Flow Indicator
The NORIS 885 is a dual-sided flow indicator conforming to DIN 3236, featuring flanged connections DIN PN16 or PN25. It is utilized for visual monitoring of liquids and gases in horizontal or vertical pipelines, with mandatory flow direction verification during installation.

Materials and Sealing
The body is available in cast steel GS-C25 / 1.0619 / GP240GH or stainless steel WN 1.4408. Covers are GS-C25 / S235JRG2 or 1.4408 / 1.4571, depending on the version. Bolts are galvanized 5.6 or A4-70. Glasses are borosilicate according to DIN 7080. Sealing of glass plates is done according to DIN 28121 with a PTFE-covered rubber system, while intermediate gaskets are asbestos-free.
Application Field
Type 885 is selected when visual observation with safety sealing of glasses is required. Suitable for process water, condensate, gases, auxiliary networks, and chemical liquids compatible with 1.0619 or 1.4408.
Difference from NORIS 880
The 880 is a standard dual-sided flow indicator according to DIN 3237. The 885 differentiates as a safety sight flow indicator according to DIN 3236, with glass plates sealed according to DIN 28121 and a PTFE-covered sealing system.
