B-Safety BR 026 995 Safety Shower Valve

The BR 026 995 is a wall-mounted safety shower valve designed for exposed pipework installations. It features a ¾” ball valve with integrated automatic drain. This configuration is specified where the pipe section between the valve and shower head must be emptied after actuation or periodic testing, minimizing stagnant water in the outlet line and reducing contamination risk.

Technical Specifications

  • Part number: BR 026 995
  • Type: wall-mounted, exposed pipework, automatic draining
  • Water connection: ¾” female
  • Operating pressure: 1–5 bar
  • Flow rate: ≥60 l/min at 1 bar flow pressure
  • Opening angle: 90°
  • Operation: non-self-closing
  • Dimensions: 150 × 105 × 100 mm
  • Lever installation height: 0–1750 mm above floor

Construction Materials

Valve body, ball valve, lever, and tee are AISI 316 stainless steel. Handle and drain fitting are plastic. The lever is polished, 160 mm long, with a black plastic handle (Ø25 mm, 90 mm length).

Applications

Suitable for fixed emergency showers in chemical plants, laboratories, chemical loading areas, industrial corridors, and safety water networks. Compatible with potable water. Ball valve is DIN-DVGW tested/certified.

Standards and Installation

Referenced standards: DIN EN 15154-1:2006, DIN EN 15154-5:2019, ANSI Z358.1-2014, DIN 1988, DIN EN 1717, BGI/GUV-I 850-0, GOST-R. For DIN EN 15154-1 compliance, the section between valve and shower head must self-drain after use.

Difference from BR 025 995

BR 026 995 includes automatic draining. BR 025 995 offers either automatic or manual draining. Select BR 026 995 where automatic post-valve line drainage is required by specification.

Technical Submission Note

Product page mentions “automatic reset,” but technical datasheet explicitly states the valve is not self-closing. For project specifications, use the manufacturer’s technical documentation.

Product description

The emergency shower valve consists of a robust ball valve with drinking water approval, which can be mounted either to the right or left of the door. The volume flow is at least 60 liters / minute at 1 bar flow pressure. It is operated by a stainless steel lever with a sturdy plastic handle. Installation at handle height is recommended for this safety shower valve. An optional drain can be used to ensure automatic drainage between the shower head and the valve.

Mounting-Instructions:

For an installation in accordance with EN 15154-1:2006 it must be ensured, that the safety shower installation is self-draining between valve and shower head.
