B-Safety BR 027 995 Safety Shower Valve

The BR 027 995 is a recessed, wall-mounted safety shower valve with integrated drain, designed for installations requiring the valve body to be embedded within the wall. Operator access is via a 200 × 200 mm stainless steel front plate. Actuation is manual, using a 90° rotary clamp-lever. The valve is non-self-closing, supporting controlled manual operation for emergency applications.

Technical Data

  • Water connection: Rp ¾” female
  • Operating pressure: 1–5 bar
  • Flow rate: ≥60 l/min at 1 bar flow pressure
  • Front plate dimensions: 200 × 200 mm
  • Lever: plastic clamp-lever, orange, 110 mm length
  • Operation: manual, non-self-closing
  • Drain: integrated, supports automatic or manual drainage

Construction Materials

Front plate: AISI 304 stainless steel. Ball valve, connections, valve adapter, and shaft extension: AISI 316. Lever and drain valve: engineered plastic. Suitable for potable and process water; verify chemical compatibility for other media.

Applications

Used in fixed emergency safety showers for laboratories, chemical plants, chemical filling stations, and industrial safety water networks. The recessed design minimizes exposed components in the workspace but requires an access hatch for maintenance and leak inspection. Not suitable for steam or aggressive media without material compatibility verification.

Standards & Installation

Referenced standards: EN 15154-1:2006, EN 15154-5:2019, ANSI Z358.1-2014, DIN 1988, EN 1717, BGI/GUV-I 850-0, GOST-R. For EN 15154-1 compliance, the pipework between valve and shower head must be self-draining to prevent stagnant water.

Specification Note

The “Norms / Approvals” section lists EN 15154-2:2006, while the PDF and technical datasheet specify EN 15154-1:2006. Confirm the applicable standard with the manufacturer’s datasheet before project submittal.
