DonadonSDD SU/M and SU/T Sealed Rupture Disk Units
The DonadonSDD SU/M and SU/T are pre-assembled rupture disk units integrated into a threaded stainless steel connector. The assembly includes a calibrated rupture disk within the connector body, allowing direct installation into process lines without a separate holder. After activation, the entire unit must be replaced.
Difference Between SU/M and SU/T
- SU/M: Disk mounted in a two-piece threaded and sealed container.
- SU/T: Disk welded directly to the threaded connector.
Both types are designed for small diameters and direct installation on equipment, vessels, instrumentation lines, or auxiliary circuits.

Applications
Suitable for gases and liquids under cyclic or pulsating pressure conditions. Commonly used in small pressure vessels, high-pressure equipment, test rigs, instrumentation lines, skids, and locations requiring rapid overpressure relief within milliseconds.
Selection Criteria
Selection requires process pressure, burst pressure, temperature, DN, media, thread type, presence of pressure pulsations, and acceptable fragmentation behavior. Not recommended for installation upstream of safety valves, as specified in the technical documentation.

DonadonSDD products – such as rupture discs, explosion venting panels, and rupture indicators – are certified in compliance with PED directive 2014/68/EU or ATEX directive 2014/34/EU. The rupture discs alone are manufactured, tested, and certified in compliance with ASME directive, Section VIII, Division 1 and carry the relative UD stamp.
DonadonSDD is subject to inspections carried out by 3-A Sanitary Standard, Inc. (3-A SSI) so that our rupture discs can meet the highest sanitary standards.
Upon request, our clients can ask independent inspectors to certify single batches.
