Pressure Relief Valve KITO EV/o, Type C 10.1 N

The KITO EV/o C 10.1 N is an emergency pressure relief valve designed for storage tanks. It is installed on tanks with a separate vacuum relief arrangement and serves to protect against hazardous overpressure, while minimizing vapor or gas losses. The valve can also be used as a manhole cover replacement with pressure relief function. Note: This valve does not provide protection against explosion or stabilized combustion.

Sizes and Connections

Available in DN 100 to DN 600. Flange ratings: PN 16 for DN 100–150, PN 10 for DN 200–600. Supported connections include EN 1092-1 type B1, ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF, and optionally API Standard 650 for DN 500–600.

Set Pressure and Flow

Set pressure range: 5–100 mbar. The valve begins to open at the set pressure and achieves full lift at 20% overpressure. Flow curves are provided in Nm³/min for air at 1.29 kg/m³ density. For lower permissible overpressure, flow correction by the manufacturer is required.

Construction Materials

Two main variants:

• Variant I: Body/seat edge in carbon steel or stainless steel 1.4301; plate, lever, and weights in carbon steel.
• Variant II: Body/seat edge, plate, lever, and weights in stainless steel 1.4301.
• Sealing: NBR standard; optional PTFE or EPDM.
• Bolting: Stainless steel.
• Optional cover: Galvanized steel.
