Hydraulic Pressure Control Valves - 95-01 & 695-01 Ratio Reduction Control Valve | Cla-Val

Cla-Val 95-01 / 695-01

Hydraulic ratio pressure reducing valve. Reduces upstream pressure to a lower downstream pressure at a fixed ratio, within a defined flow range. Features dual control chambers for precise diaphragm actuation.

Operation

Downstream pressure is not regulated to an absolute set point as with standard PRVs. Instead, downstream pressure tracks upstream pressure at a preset reduction ratio. This is applicable where a proportional relationship between two pressure zones is required.

Applications

  • Water distribution networks with variable upstream pressure
  • Pressure zones requiring proportional reduction
  • Industrial water systems
  • Irrigation networks
  • Installations where fixed set point control is not the operational logic

Variants

  • 95-01: Full port construction.
  • 695-01: Reduced port for lower flow rates or improved control in oversized pipelines.

Construction

  • Connection: Flanged
  • Standard: ANSI
  • Pressure Classes: 150 lbs, 300 lbs
  • Materials: Bronze, ASTM A216 WCB, ductile iron

Selection Criteria

Selection based on reduction ratio, minimum/maximum flow, upstream pressure, required downstream pressure, available ΔP, cavitation risk, and stability at low flows.

FAQ

How does it differ from the 90-01?
The 90-01 maintains a fixed downstream set point. The 95-01 / 695-01 maintains a fixed reduction ratio.

Is electrical power required?
No. Operation is fully hydraulic.

Description

The Cla-Val Model 95-01/695-01 Ratio Reduction Control Valve automatically reduces a higher inlet pressure to a lower outlet pressure at a fixed ratio within a certain range of flow rates. It is simple in design for long service life featuring double control chambers for precise diaphragm actuation.
