Level Switch Tecfluid LC40

The Tecfluid LC40 is a point level switch for liquids, equipped with a modular float for side or top mounting. When the liquid reaches the setpoint, float movement actuates a magnetic mechanism that triggers a microswitch, reed, inductive, or pneumatic contact, depending on the selected version.

Variants

  • LC40: Side mounting.
  • LC40-BA: Side mounting where the switching level does not coincide with the nozzle height.
  • LC40-V: Top mounting from tank roof.
  • LC40-VR: Top mounting for extended insertion depths.

  • Pressure rating: PN16 (AISI 316L), PN10 (PVC/PP/PTFE).
  • Connection: EN 1092-1 DN65 flange; other sizes or ASME B16.5/JIS on request.

Contacts and Electrical Connection

Available with AMM (SPDT microswitch), AMR (SPDT reed), AMD (inductive NAMUR EN 60947-5-6), or AMP (pneumatic ON/OFF). Recommended cable: 0.25–0.5 mm², M16 x 1.5 cable gland, external cable diameter 5–8 mm.

Applications

Used for pump start/stop, overfill or dry-run protection, dosing tanks, process vessels, steam condensate, and tanks in chemical, food, and textile industries.

Standards and Certifications

LC40 series offers ATEX Ex d IIC T6 options. PED compliance per Directive 2014/68/EU, Category II, Annex III – Module H, with EN 13445 applied.

Is this a continuous level measurement device?
No. It is a point level switch for discrete level detection.

When is AISI 316L preferred over plastics?
For higher pressure, higher temperature, or when metallic construction is required by process conditions.

Can it be installed externally to the tank?
Yes, with an optional external chamber for side mounting.
