WEY VS Knife Gate Valve – Stainless Steel Semi-Lug Design

The WEY VS series is a bidirectional semi-lug isolation valve for corrosive liquids, slurry, sludge, viscous products and media containing suspended solids. The gate is mechanically guided throughout its travel and supported in the closed position. The body geometry directs accumulated material away from the guide area during opening.

  • Stem or piston rod: stainless steel 430F

The transverse sealing system limits leakage to atmosphere and can be readjusted through lateral compression screws without removing the valve. Adjustment must be uniform to prevent excessive gate friction.

Can the VS be installed as an end-of-line valve?
Yes, provided the flange arrangement and reduced allowable end-of-line pressure are verified for the selected size.

Is the VS suitable for safety functions?
The series can be configured for SIL-capable open-to-close safety functions, subject to the actuator, instrumentation and final system assessment.
