I/P Signal Converter OMC PC13

The OMC PC13 is an electro-pneumatic signal converter for panel mounting, designed to convert DC current signals to proportional pneumatic pressure. It is typically installed as an interface between electronic controllers and pneumatic valve actuators in process control loops for flow, pressure, temperature, or level regulation.

Installation and Maintenance

PC13 features an ABS enclosure, IP20 protection, and DIN EN 50022 35 mm rail mounting. Pneumatic connections are for 4x1 tubing (6 mm OD). Electrical connections via 2-wire terminal, 0.5–1.5 mm².

Instrument-grade clean air is required for reliable operation. A filter-regulator with 25 micron filtration is recommended upstream. Oil, water, and particulates are primary causes of failure in these devices.

Differences vs. PC15 / PC18

PC13 is intended for panel installation (IP20). PC15 is the field version for similar output pressures. PC18 is used where higher output pressure up to 0–8 bar is required. ATEX versions are available for PC15.1 and PC18.1, not for PC13.
