Miyawaki ER110 – Inverted Bucket Steam Trap
The Miyawaki ER110 is an inverted bucket steam trap made from cast iron FC250, designed for medium to large condensate loads in low to medium pressure steam systems. It operates on a mechanical steam-condensate separation principle using a U-shaped duct and bucket, without requiring electric or pneumatic actuators.

Operation and Selection
The ER110 features a small vent hole at the top of the bucket for the removal of hot air and non-condensable gases, minimizing air locking. The series supports condensate recovery with backpressure up to 90% of upstream pressure, provided the return line has proper check and isolation valves.
Typical Applications
Suitable for heat exchangers, dryers, unit heaters, cleaning processes, dyeing, food/beverage, HVAC, and general industrial steam drainage. Selection is based on condensate load, available Δp, backpressure, temperature, DN, and flange standard.
Installation and Maintenance
Install in horizontal flow with the nameplate on top and follow the body arrow direction. The steam trap should be lower than the condensate-producing equipment; if not feasible, a lift fitting is required. Perform blow-off of the line before startup and allow maintenance space of over 180 mm.
FAQ
When to choose over ER105?
When higher flow or operation up to 1.2 MPa is required.
What to check for reduced discharge?
Blocked screen, debris in piston/pilot valve and seat, blocked vent hole, or operation above model's PMO.
