Pressure and Vacuum Line Valve KITO F63N

The KITO VD/Sc2, F63N series, is a line valve designed for tank venting and breathing operations. It is installed inline and can be connected to an air drying system when controlled gas replenishment is required in the tank vapor space. Its operational logic is similar to the KITO VD/TG, F31N series.

Operation

The F63N provides both pressure relief and vacuum relief functions. The vacuum pallet is spring-loaded, while the pressure pallet is weight-loaded. Valve actuation is based on differential pressure, with no electrical or pneumatic actuator required.

• DN 50–150: PN 16
• DN 200: PN 10
• ASME equivalents: 2" to 8"
• Vacuum setting: 3 to 50 mbar
• Pressure setting: min. 10–13 mbar, max. up to 155 mbar per DN
• Higher settings available after technical review
• Dimensions C and H1 can be adapted to existing piping

Materials and Sealing

Body and cover are carbon steel, with optional stainless steel 1.4571. Seat, shaft, and weights are stainless steel 1.4571. Standard valve seal is NBR; Viton, PTFE, EPDM, or metal sealing are available. For pressure settings ≥100 mbar, only PTFE or metal sealing is used on the pressure pallet.

Connections and Applications

Standard connection is EN 1092-1 type B1 flanged. ASME B16.5 Class 150 RF is optional. Typical applications include tank breathing lines, vent gas piping, air dryer systems, and tank protection during filling or emptying. The technical datasheet specifies versions without EC certificate and without CE marking.

How does it differ from F61N?
The F61N is used as either a pressure or vacuum valve depending on installation orientation. The F63N integrates both functions in one unit.

When is sealing selection reviewed?
Sealing selection is reviewed for higher setpoints, aggressive media, or when low seat leakage is required.
