Gefran 4T72 Process Indicator Unit
The Gefran 4T72 is a microprocessor-based temperature/process indicator, 72×36 mm, designed for panel door mounting. This device is not a PID controller; it is intended for local indication of temperature or linear process variables. The Lexan front panel provides IP65 protection, features three keys, and a red LED display with 2, 3, or 4 digits.
Measurement Inputs
Input type is selectable from the front panel, with no external shunt or adapter required. Supported inputs include:
- Thermocouples: J, K, R, S, T, B, E, N, L-GOST, U, G, D, C
- RTD: Pt100 / JPt100, 2- or 3-wire
- PTC 990 Ω and NTC 1 kΩ
- Linear signals: 0–60 mV, 12–60 mV, 0/4–20 mA, 0–10 V, 2–10 V, 0–5 V, 1–5 V, 0–1 V, 0.2–1 V
Accuracy is 0.2% f.s. ±1 digit at 25 °C. Sampling time is 120 ms for temperature sensors, adjustable down to 15 ms for linear inputs (with reduced resolution).
Scaling and Linearisation
For linear inputs, scaling is configurable up to -1999…9999 (4-digit), -999…999 (3-digit), or -99…99 (2-digit) display. 32-segment linearisation is available for non-standard signals and engineering unit display.
Power Supply and Auxiliary Outputs
Supply voltage: 11–27 Vdc or 18–27 Vac, 50/60 Hz, up to 3 VA, not isolated from sensor input. Transmitter supply 18 Vdc / 50 mA or 1.2 Vdc for potentiometer available depending on model.
Typical Applications
- Local temperature indication in furnaces or thermal zones
- Hygrometry with suitable transmitter
- Remote repeaters in machine panels
- Test benches and laboratory setups
- Food processing equipment
