Ball Valve - HEATING JACKET - STANDARD SEALS - MM DIN 11851 - 103027C | 4G Ghidini

Spherical Ball Valve with Heating Jacket 4G Ghidini 103027C

Two-way full bore ball valve with integrated heating jacket and DIN 11851 male/male connections. Designed for process lines where product temperature must be maintained within the valve zone to prevent viscosity increase, solidification, or crystallization during flow interruptions.

Technical Data

  • Body materials: AISI 304L / 1.4307 or AISI 316L / 1.4404
  • Sizes: DN25 to DN100
  • Flow: full bore
  • Seats: modified virgin PTFE
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +170°C
  • Actuator interface: ISO 5211 / DIN 3337
  • Actuator mounting bolts: included
  • Finish: external polished
  • Line connection: DIN 11851 M/M
  • Nominal pressure: per DN and execution, selectable PN25 / PN40.

Heating Jacket

The jacket enables circulation of a heating medium around the valve body. Recommended for media such as fats, syrups, resins, chocolate, waxes, or chemicals requiring temperature maintenance. Does not replace thermal calculations for the process line; product temperature, residence time, and heat losses must be evaluated.

Sealing and Materials

Standard version includes PTFE seals on ball, sleeves, and stem, with FKM O-ring on the stem. On request: PTFE with glass (up to +170°C), PTFE with carbographite (up to +180°C), PTFE with stainless steel (up to +200°C), and UHMW polyethylene (up to +80°C).

Applications

Suitable for food, beverage, cosmetics, and chemicals compatible with selected body and sealing materials. For food contact, M.O.C.A. CE 1935/2004 compliance available. For explosive atmospheres, antistatic design per ATEX II 2G Ex h IIC T4 Gb / II 2D Ex h IIIC T135°C Db is optional.

FAQ

When is this selected over a standard DIN 11851 valve?
When product temperature directly affects flow or drainage.

Is automation possible?
Yes, via ISO 5211 / DIN 3337 for pneumatic or electric actuators.
