The Valvosider Pressure Seal DIN is a straight-flow globe valve designed for high-pressure lines, primarily for steam, hot water, condensates, and industrial fluids compatible with carbon/alloy steel bodies. The series covers PN100, PN160, PN250, PN320, and PN420, with DN50–DN600 per figure P162–P166.
Design refers to EN 12516, face-to-face EN 12982 / EN 558, flanges EN 1092, BW ends per DIN 3239, testing EN 12266, marking EN 19, compliance CE-PED, and certificates EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.
Selection is based on PN, DN, temperature, pressure-temperature rating, body material, pressure direction on the disc, and allowable differential pressure. For high pressure below the disc, manufacturer limits must be checked; if exceeded, a gear operator or installation with pressure above the disc and internal or external bypass is recommended.
Seat/disc surfaces are hard-faced, with options for Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or other materials upon request. For throttling, a regulating disc or double-stage disc is required to minimize seat wear, noise, and uncontrolled pressure drop.
Available options include ISO 5210 top flange, gear operator, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuator, position indicator, limit switches, locking/interlock, PTFE soft seats, live-loaded packing, stem extension, stop-check disc, and drain plug.
In high-pressure applications where bonnet sealing must utilize internal pressure to enhance gasket compression.
Only with an appropriate regulating disc and control of Δp, velocity, noise, and thermal stress.
