The Valvosider Pressure Seal ASME is a straight-flow globe valve designed for high-pressure lines, primarily for steam, hot water, condensates, and industrial fluids compatible with carbon, alloy, or stainless steel bodies. The series covers Class 600, 900, 1500, and 2500, with sizes ranging from 2" to 16" for Class 600/900 and up to 12" for Class 1500/2500.
Design references include BS 1873, API 623, ASME B16.34, and MSS SP 144. Face-to-face dimensions per ASME B16.10, testing per API 598 / EN 12266, marking per MSS-SP 25, with CE-PED compliance and EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 certification.
Selection is based on class rating, temperature, DN, body material, Δp, pressure direction on the disc, and required tightness. For pressure below the disc, the technical datasheet provides Δp limits from 85 bar at DN3" to 4 bar at DN16". Exceeding these limits requires a gear operator or installation with pressure above the disc and internal or external bypass.
Available options include ISO 5210 top flange, gear operator, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuator, limit switches, position indicator, locking/interlock, PTFE soft seats, live-loaded packing, extended stuffing box, lantern ring, drain plug, bypass, and DIN connections.
For high pressures where internal pressure aids in compressing the bonnet seal.
The primary use is isolation. For throttling, Δp, velocity, noise, and seat wear must be controlled.
