Valvosider Angle Globe Valve per DIN

The Valvosider 90° Angle Globe Valve features a stuffing box, bolted bonnet, outside screw & yoke, rising stem, rising handwheel, and loose disc. Its angular design is utilized when piping changes direction by 90° and simultaneous isolation or controlled throttling is required without additional angular fittings.

Construction Range

  • PN10/16: DN15–DN600, Fig. 1410
  • PN25/40: DN15–DN600, Fig. 1440
  • PN63: DN15–DN600, Fig. 1560A
  • PN100: DN15–DN300, Fig. 1570A
  • Body Materials: 1.0619, 1.4408, 1.4581
  • Connection: primarily flanged, with BW ends available upon request.

Standards and Sealing

The series adheres to design EN 12516, face-to-face EN 12982 / EN 558, flanges EN 1092, testing EN 12266, marking EN 19, compliance CE-PED, and certificates EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2.

The bonnet is sealed with a stainless-steel reinforced graphite gasket, while the stem uses graphite rings & wiper rings. Seats are X20Cr13 or X5CrNiMo17-12-2, with options for Stellite, Monel, Hastelloy, or PTFE based on fluid, temperature, or sealing requirements.

Industrial Application Selection

Suitable for steam, condensates, hot water, gases, and industrial fluids compatible with construction materials. Selection is based on DN, PN, temperature, body material, Δp, pressure direction on the disc, and shut-off or throttling requirements.

For large DN or high differential pressure, check maximum pressure under the disc. If limits are exceeded, a gear operator or installation with pressure above the disc and internal or external bypass is recommended.

Handling Options

Available with top flange ISO 5210, gear operator, chain wheel, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuator, position indicator, limit switches, locking/interlock, regulating disc, double-stage disc, stop-check disc, live-loaded packing, stem extension, and drain plug.

FAQ

When to choose an angle globe valve?

When a 90° direction change and isolation valve are needed at the same point in the line.

Is it suitable for regulation?

Yes, only with a regulating disc and control of Δp, noise, velocity, and seat wear.
