Forged Globe Valve ICP G150/300 Class 150/300

The ICP G150RF / G300RF is a forged globe valve with RF flanged connection, designed for flow isolation in small DN and ANSI applications. It is unidirectional and suitable for steam, condensate, water, air, oils, and industrial fluids, provided compatibility with A105 or A182 F316L is ensured.

Construction

  • Sizes: ½"–2" / DN15–DN50.
  • Pressure class: Class 150 or Class 300.
  • Body and bonnet: ASTM A105 or ASTM A182 F316L.
  • Carbon steel trim: AISI 420 + STL disc, A105 + STL seat, AISI 410 stem.
  • Stainless steel trim: A182 F316L disc and stem, F316L + STL seat.
  • Packing: flexible graphite + carbon fibre.
  • Manual operation with handwheel.

Standards and Testing

Design refers to BS 5352 and ASME B16.34. Flanges comply with ASME B16.5, face-to-face dimensions with ASME B16.10, leakage tests with API 598, pressure testing with EN 12266-1, and marking with EN 19. Certificate EN 10204 2.2 available, referencing PED 2014/68/EU and ATEX Group II Cat. 2.

Application Selection

Selection between G150RF and G300RF is based on pressure-temperature rating, operating temperature, medium, required seat tightness, and allowable pressure drop. Datasheet provides Kv from 1 for DN15 to 19.9 m³/h for DN50, useful for pressure loss assessment in small diameter lines.

Maintenance and Limitations

Stem sealing relies on graphite packing, requiring periodic gland inspection for emissions or leakage. In steam applications, avoid sudden opening on cold lines and ensure condensate drainage. Primarily isolation valve; continuous throttling should be evaluated for flow velocity, noise, and seat wear.

FAQ

When to Choose A105?

For steam, water, air, and general industrial services without stainless steel body requirement.

When to Choose F316L?

When fluid or environment demands stainless material, after corrosion and temperature assessment.
