Neway Cast Steel Gate Valve

The Neway Cast Steel gate valve family is designed for flow isolation in industrial process lines, including steam, petroleum, gas, chemical, and auxiliary networks. It is intended for on/off service; operation in intermediate positions is not recommended due to increased seat and wedge erosion.

Size and Pressure Range

The series covers NPS 2"–88" / DN50–DN2200 with pressure ratings of ASME Class 150–4500 / PN16–PN760. End connections include RF, RTJ, and BW, operable via handwheel, gearbox, pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic actuators.

Construction

The standard cast gate valve configuration features API 600 design, bolted bonnet, OS&Y, rising stem, non-rising handwheel, and a flexible wedge. The flexible wedge compensates for minor seat/body distortions due to thermal or mechanical pipeline loads.

Materials and Trim

Body materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, duplex, low-temperature steel, nickel base, and titanium alloys. Ordering codes specify materials such as A216 WCB, A352 LCB/LCC, A217 WC6/WC9/C5, A351 CF8/CF8M/CF3/CF3M/CN7M. Trims can be 13Cr, 18Cr-8Ni, Stellite, Monel, Alloy 20, or 19Cr-29Ni, depending on fluid and temperature.

Connection and Testing Standards

Face-to-face/end-to-end dimensions comply with ASME B16.10, BS EN 558, BS EN 12627, or ISO 5752. Flanges conform to ASME B16.5 / B16.47, BW ends to ASME B16.25, and testing to API 598 or EN 12266.

FAQ

When is a gear operator needed?
For large DN or high ΔP, where handwheel torque is impractical.

Are there special options?
Options include actuator, locking device, position indicator, pressure relief hole, bypass, lantern ring, and live-loaded eye bolt.

Can it regulate flow?
No. It is an isolation valve.
