B-Safety PremiumLine BR 880 095 – Self-Draining Eye Wash Shower with Frost Protection

The BR 880 095 is a wall-mounted emergency eye wash unit featuring two stainless steel spray heads set at 45°. Automatic drainage is achieved via a three-way ball valve, preventing water retention in exposed pipework after operation. This design is intended for outdoor or unheated industrial locations where residual water must not remain in the system to avoid freezing or contamination.

Operation and Materials

The three-way ball valve ¾” is manufactured from brass CW617N and provides downward drainage when not in use. Connection is made from the rear wall side, using a polished stainless steel tube of 120 mm length.

Spray heads and piping are AISI 316 stainless steel; escutcheon is AISI 304; flow regulator is POM; shaft extension is aluminum. Spray heads include plastic spray plates, elastomeric bumpers, and sealed dust covers.

Complies with EN 15154-2:2006, ANSI Z358.1-2014, DIN 1988, EN 1717, and BGI/GUV-I 850-0. Eye wash signage per EN ISO 7010 / ASR A1.3; OPEN indicator is photoluminescent per DIN 67510.

Product description

The eye shower is equipped with two B-SAFETY high-performance spray heads, which not only meet the requirements of DIN EN 15154-2:2006 and ANSI Z358.1-2014, but also ensure that the water is distributed over a large area. This also takes care of the regions around the eyes and eyes can be positioned in the water jet without problems. The restricted, even and, most important of all, soft water jet has been optimized for rinsing chemicals out of the eye.

The correct spray height and a standard-compliant spray pattern are achieved by the integrated flow regulator, regardless of the water pressure applied. The rubber sleeves around the shower head protect the person seeking help from impact injuries. Dust caps on the shower head protect against contamination and open automatically when the eye shower is actuated by the water pressure. The large holes in the shower heads prevent standing water and thus calcification.
