Wall-mounted, electrically heated safety shower for body decontamination in outdoor or cold industrial environments. Designed for locations where pipework must remain operational under freezing conditions. This unit is intended for body flushing only; no eyewash function is included.

Frost Protection System

Pipework is insulated with pre-formed mineral wool, non-combustible per DIN 4102. Heating is provided by a self-regulating heating tape (10 W/m). An external thermostat deactivates heating at 11°C and reactivates at 4°C, minimizing continuous power consumption.

Construction and Operation

Wall flange: stainless steel, 200 x 200 mm, 4 mounting holes. 1” stainless steel ball valve, actuated by a 700 mm pull rod. Spray head: chemical-resistant plastic, self-draining, with controlled and uniform spray pattern for effective chemical removal from skin.

Standards and EX Zones

Complies with EN 15154-1:2006, EN 15154-5:2019, and ANSI Z358.1-2014. Rated for EX Zones 1 & 2. Electrical components are explosion-proof; risk assessment covers both electrical and non-electrical explosion protection.

Applications

Outdoor chemical plants, tank farms, loading racks, water treatment facilities, and process areas with low ambient temperatures. Suitable for water and compatible decontamination fluids.

Maintenance

Routine checks: flow rate, dynamic pressure, thermostat function, heating tape continuity, valve tightness, insulation integrity, enclosure condition, and unobstructed pull rod movement.
