Frost Protection
Insulation is formed mineral wool, non-combustible per DIN 4102. Heating is via self-regulating heating tape, 10 W/m. External thermostat disables heating at 11°C and reactivates at 4°C, minimizing unnecessary power consumption during mild conditions.
Construction and Actuation
Base plate: stainless steel, 200 x 200 mm, with 4 anchor holes. 1 ¼” stainless steel ball valve, actuated by 700 mm pull rod. External enclosure is screw-mounted stainless steel, removable for maintenance. Green/white visibility stripes for identification.
Standards and EX Zone Suitability
Complies with EN 15154-1:2006, EN 15154-5:2019, ANSI Z358.1-2014. Also references DIN 1988, EN 1717, DIN-DVGW/DVGW, GOST-R. Datasheet specifies suitability for EX Zones 1 & 2 with explosion-protected electrical components and risk assessment for both electrical and non-electrical explosion protection.
Applications
Outdoor chemical plants, tank farms, loading racks, water treatment facilities, and process areas with frost risk. Suitable for water and compatible decontamination media.
Maintenance
Routine checks: flow rate, pressure, valve operation, heating tape continuity, thermostat function, insulation integrity, enclosure sealing, and pull rod accessibility.
