B-Safety BR 885 085 ClassicLine

Wall-mounted emergency body shower with frost protection via automatic self-draining. Designed for outdoor or cold industrial locations where residual water must not remain in the arm after operation. This unit is intended solely for body drenching; no eyewash function is included.

Frost Protection Function

Drainage is achieved via a ¾” brass three-way ball valve. When not in use, the valve drains the exposed piping downward, minimizing water retention in the arm. The shaft extension is supplied at 800 mm and can be cut on site to suit installation depth or layout.

Construction and Operation

The ¾” wall arm is stainless steel with green chemical-resistant powder coating. The spray head is self-draining, made from chemically resistant plastic, and includes an integrated 50 l/min flow regulator for consistent spray pattern within 1.5–3 bar range.

Complies with ANSI Z358.1-2014, EN 15154-1:2006, EN 15154-5:2019. References to DIN 1988, EN 1717, and BGI/GUV-I 850-0. Body shower signage per EN ISO 7010 and ASR A1.3, with 15 m visibility distance.

Applications

Suitable for outdoor chemical plants, tank farms, loading points, water treatment units, and cold production areas requiring immediate body drenching without electric heating.

Maintenance

Routine checks: flow rate, dynamic pressure, three-way valve tightness, free drainage, spray head cleanliness, lever operation, and correct shaft extension adjustment.

Product description

The body safety showers are equipped with the B-SAFETY high-performance shower head, which not only meets the specifications of ANSI Z358.1 and EN 15154, but is also self-draining, largely free of calcification- and maintenance, and very robust and corrosion-resistant. The limited, uniform and above all soft water jet is optimized for rinsing off chemicals on the skin.

The integrated automatic flow regulator ensures a standard-compliant spray pattern regardless of the water pressure on site. With the enclosed safety sign according to EN ISO 7010 and ASR A1.3, the B-SAFETY emergency shower is marked and visibility is improved. The viewing distance is 15 meters
