Neway Dual Plate Check Valve

The Neway dual plate check valve is designed for backflow prevention in industrial piping systems. It features two spring-loaded plates that open under differential pressure and close rapidly with independent torsion springs. No actuator is required; operation is automatic based on flow conditions.

The dual plate series includes wafer, lug, and flanged types. Pressure classes available: Class 150, 300, 400, 600, 900, 1500, and 2500.

Design and Sealing

Retainerless body design eliminates external pins or plugs penetrating the body, reducing potential external leakage paths. Each plate is equipped with an independent torsion spring. Shock bumpers and a continuous gasket surface between valve and flanges are standard.

Trim options include disc/seat surfaces in 13%Cr, 18%Cr-8%Ni, Stellite, Monel, Alloy 20, and bronze. Soft seat materials: EPDM, NBR, Viton, selected based on media and temperature.

Applications

Used in oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, pulp & paper, marine installations, and general backflow prevention. Selection should consider flow rate, density, pressure, temperature, allowable pressure drop, and seat leakage requirements.
