Gefran 1300 Temperature Controller
The Gefran 1300 is a PID temperature controller with a 96×96 mm (1/4 DIN) panel-mount format, designed for installation on control cabinet doors. The Lexan front panel provides IP65 ingress protection. The interface includes two 4-digit LED displays for PV/SV, four control keys, and output status LEDs. The 1300 shares its core technical platform with the 1200 series but is selected where a larger operator interface is required.
Process Inputs
The main input is universal, supporting thermocouples J, K, R, S, T; RTD Pt100/JPT100; PTC/NTC; and linear signals (60 mV, 1 V, 5 V, 10 V, 0/4–20 mA). Measurement accuracy is 0.2% f.s. ±1 digit at 25 °C. Sampling time is 120 ms. Display range is -1999 to 9999.
Control and Outputs
Supported control modes include PID, autotune, self-tuning, on/off, heat/cool, soft-start, power limit, and bumpless manual/auto transfer. Output options: relay 5 A / 250 Vac, logic 24 V for SSR, triac 20–240 Vac / 1 A, continuous 0–10 V or 4–20 mA, and 12-bit analog retransmission.
Load Monitoring and Communication
A 50 mAac CT input is available for heater break alarm and detection of open or partially failed heating elements. Up to 3 alarms, LBA, HB, reset via front panel or input. Isolated RS485 interface supports Gefran CENCAL / Modbus protocols up to 19200 baud.
