ARI STEVI Smart 423/463 – Three-Way Control Valve for Large DN

The ARI STEVI Smart 423/463 is a flanged three-way control valve designed for mixing or flow diverting in large diameter networks. The series covers DN200–DN300, with the 463 available in DN200–DN250, and versions PN16, PN25, and PN40 in EN-JL1040, EN-JS1049, or 1.0619+N, depending on diameter and pressure.

Variants 423 and 463

• STEVI 423: Three-way valve with shaft packing. Available with PTFE packing -10°C to 250°C, EPDM -10°C to 150°C, or graphite -10°C to 450°C.
• STEVI 463: Version with stainless steel bellows and secondary sealing, for applications requiring external leakage limitation or operation up to 450°C with graphite packing.

Mixing / Diverting Operation

The standard configuration is a mixing plug for two inlets and one outlet. For flow diverting, a diverting plug is exclusively used, with attention to reduced Kvs value. Plugs are available as parabolic or V-port, with metal seat, linear characteristic, and rangeability 30:1. Seat leakage is Class IV according to DIN EN 60534-4.

Media and Applications

Used in hot water, cooling water, brine, steam, gases, and thermal oil networks, subject to material compatibility checks. Typical installation points include large heat exchangers, bypass circuits, central HVAC installations, industrial heating, and thermal load distribution lines.

Actuators and Automation

The valve is compatible with pneumatic ARI-DP 34/34T, max air pressure 6 bar, or electric ARI-PREMIO / PREMIO-Plus 2G 5–25 kN, IP65. Also available with AUMA SAR 07.6–14.6, IP67, torque/travel switches, handwheel, and explosion-proof version.

Standards and Selection

Flanges comply with DIN EN 1092-1/-2 and face-to-face with DIN EN 558. Selection requires medium, flow rate, P1/P2, temperature, mixing/diverting operation, Kvs, Δp, leakage class, and fail-safe position.
