ADCA ADCAMat POP DN 100 Condensate Pump

The ADCA POP DN 100 is a mechanically operated condensate pump designed for pressure-driven transfer of steam condensate, oils, and non-hazardous liquids compatible with its construction materials, to higher levels or against backpressure. Filling occurs by gravity, and displacement is achieved using steam, compressed air, nitrogen, or other driving gases.

Technical Specifications

  • Size: DN 100 x DN 100 / 4" x 4"
  • Body Material: Carbon Steel
  • Connections: EN 1092-1 PN 16, ASME B16.5 Class 150, ISO 7 Rp via threaded flanges
  • Max Driving Medium Pressure: 10 bar
  • Min Driving Medium Pressure: 1 bar
  • Max Operating Temperature: 185°C
  • Displacement per Cycle: 325 L
  • Flow Rate: Up to 29,800 kg/h, depending on driving pressure, backpressure, and filling height

Standards and Pressure Limits

The DN 100 version is CE marked for Group 2 fluids according to PED and classified in Category IV. Body limits for PN 16 are 16 bar at 50°C, 14 bar at 100°C, 13 bar at 195°C, and 12 bar at 250°C. Selection should be based on the most adverse pressure-temperature point of the installation.

Selection Logic

The DN 100 is selected when condensate loads exceed smaller POP versions and a large displacement volume per cycle is required. Sizing requires:

  • Condensate load in kg/h
  • Driving medium pressure and type
  • Total backpressure, including elevation
  • Friction losses in the return line
  • Available filling height above the pump cover

Installation and Maintenance

Installation is horizontal. Recommended components include a condensate receiver, isolation valves, Y-type strainer, inlet/outlet check valves, vent line, and overflow where necessary. Level indicator and cycle counter are available for operation monitoring and flow estimation.

FAQ

Does it require electrical power?
No. Operation is via pressure-driven medium.

When is a receiver needed?
When temporary condensate storage is required during the displacement cycle to prevent upstream equipment flooding.

Is it suitable for high backpressure?
Yes, provided the driving medium pressure exceeds total backpressure and flow is verified by selection charts.

Datasheet and documents

Description

The ADCAMat POP pressure operated pump is recommended in the transfer of steam condensate, oils and other non-hazardous liquids compatible with the construction, to a higher elevation or pressure. Under certain conditions, it can drain a closed vessel under vacuum or pressure. The pump can be operated using steam, compressed air or other gases, and is manufactured in carbon steel.
