ADCA POP-CT Cycle Counter for Condensate Pumps

The ADCA POP-CT is not a condensate pump. It is a mechanical cycle counter for pressure-driven condensate pumps in open vented systems. It is mounted on the pump cover and is activated by pressure changes within the pump body. It is used for operation monitoring, condensate return estimation, and maintenance scheduling.

Technical Specifications

  • Power Supply: No power or battery required
  • Connections: ISO 7 R or NPT
  • Installation: Vertical, direct screw-in on pump cover
  • Max Operating Pressure: 10 bar
  • Max Operating Temperature: 185°C
  • Min Driving Pressure: 4 bar with steam, 3 bar with air or nitrogen
  • Min System Backpressure: 700 mbar

Construction Materials

The connection is made from AISI 303 / 1.4305, the body from brass, the counter from aluminum, and the lever mechanism from AISI 304 / 1.4301. Materials should be checked for installation environment, ambient temperature, and potential exposure to moisture or steam.

Use in Condensate Systems

The cycle counter allows maintenance personnel to correlate the number of cycles with the displacement per cycle of the respective pump. This enables estimation of the condensate quantity returning to the network and identification of operational changes, such as more frequent cycles due to increased load or backpressure issues.

Selection Points

  • Compatibility with ADCA pump type
  • Available position on the cover
  • Driving medium pressure
  • Minimum outlet backpressure
  • Need for mechanical or digital display, as a battery version is also available

FAQ

Does it measure flow directly?
No. It measures cycles. Flow is calculated from cycles and pump displacement volume.

Does it require electrical connection?
Not in the mechanical version POP-CT.

Where is it installed?
Vertically, directly on the pump cover.
