Valpres S.r.l. – Technical profile of an industrial ball valve manufacturer

Valpres S.r.l. is an Italian manufacturer of industrial valves, with a main focus on ball valves for industrial, energy, Oil & Gas and process applications. The company is part of the Bonomi Group and manufactures steel, stainless steel and special alloy valves for isolation and, in specific versions, flow control.

Valpres ball valves are used mainly for quarter-turn isolation. Standard ball valves should normally operate fully open or fully closed. Continuous throttling should be evaluated separately, because seat wear, cavitation, noise and poor control stability may occur in standard designs.

Two-piece ball valves are used for general industrial isolation. Three-piece ball valves improve maintainability because the centre body can be removed for inspection or replacement of seats and seals, provided that the piping arrangement allows it.

Wafer and wafer-split ball valves provide compact flanged installation. They are useful where face-to-face length must be reduced, but flange compatibility, bolt arrangement and maintenance access must be checked.

Valpres V-Ball versions are intended for control applications. They must be selected using Kv / Cv, flow characteristic, differential pressure, actuator sizing and positioner requirements. They should not be treated as ordinary On/Off ball valves.
