Valpres 720 PN16 Wafer Ball Valve with Heating Jacket
Full bore wafer-type ball valve, PN16, designed for installation between DIN flanges. The 720 series is specified for process lines where the medium must remain thermally controlled within the valve body to prevent solidification, crystallization, or viscosity increase during flow interruptions.
Series Variants
- 720012: Body ASTM A105, carbon steel heating jacket, ball A351-CF8 / A479-TP304
- 720023: Body ASTM A105, heated flange, jacket connection DN15 PN16
- 720225: Body A351-CF8M / A182-F316 / A479-TP316, heating jacket AISI 316
- Sizes: DN15 to DN150
- Pressure: PN16
- Seats: PTFE
- O-ring: FKM / Viton
- Thrust ring: TFM
Heating Jacket
The jacket enables circulation of a heating medium around the valve body or flange, depending on variant. For 720012 and 720225, jacket connections are G3/4" ISO 228 up to DN100 and G1" ISO 228 for DN125–DN150. For 720023, the jacket connects as DN15 PN16.
Applications
Used in heated lines for resins, oils, waxes, viscous chemicals, bituminous products, and processes where medium cooling may cause blockage in the ball cavity. Selection between carbon steel and stainless steel depends on corrosion risk, product purity, and heating medium compatibility.
Standards and Certifications
Complies with DIN standards, PN16 pressure class. Certifications/options: F.E. Tested ISO 15848-1, TÜV, SIL 3, ATEX Fire-Safe on request.
FAQ
When is 720225 selected?
When stainless steel body and AISI 316 jacket are required instead of carbon steel.
What should be checked before selection?
DN, PN16 flanges, body material, product temperature, heating medium, PTFE/FKM compatibility, and any fugitive emissions or ATEX requirements.
