Genebre 2040 Three-Way Ball Valve, L-Port, Reduced Bore
The Genebre 2040 is a three-way ball valve with an L-port configuration and reduced bore. Designed for flow diversion between two lines with 90° rotation, it is not intended for mixing or proportional flow control. The reduced bore must be evaluated for pressure drop and available Kv in the process design.
Construction
- Body and end caps: stainless steel 1.4408 / CF8M.
- Ball: stainless steel 1.4408.
- Stem: AISI 316.
- Seats: PTFE + 15% glass fibre.
- Stem sealing: PTFE and O-ring FKM / Viton.
- Threads: ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1.
- Antistatic device between ball, stem, and body; blowout-proof stem design.
Pressure, Temperature, Dimensions
Maximum working pressure is 63 bar, with temperature range -25°C to +180°C. Available sizes: 1/4” to 2 1/2”. Confirm pressure rating from the pressure–temperature curve, especially above 80–100°C.
Automation and Operation
Supplied with locking lever and ISO 5211 top flange for direct actuator mounting. For automation, calculate required operating torque per size; reference values for the 2040 range from 8 to 55 Nm depending on size and process conditions.
Applications
Suitable for process water, compressed air, neutral industrial fluids, auxiliary circuits, test lines, and line selection for supply or return. For chemical media, verify compatibility with CF8M, PTFE+GF, and FKM materials.
Maintenance
In case of stem leakage, inspect and tighten the gland nut. If leakage persists, disassemble and replace sealing elements. Periodic operation is recommended to prevent the valve from remaining in a fixed position for extended periods.
FAQ
Is it full bore?
No, it is reduced bore. Pressure drop must be considered in system design.
Can it be actuated?
Yes, via ISO 5211 interface. Select actuator torque based on pressure, size, and operating frequency.
Description
Certificates
GENEBRE, S.A. has implemented a quality management system to control the designing and manufacturing of fluid control valves, as well as the distribution of home and public taps.
This system complies with the requirements of the current international UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2015, certified by the prestigious German certification organization TÜV Rheinland.
In 2000, GENEBRE began to comply with the European Business Excellence Model, more commonly known as the EFQM. As a result, in 2003, the Catalan Regional Government awarded us with the Quality Award. This new system enables us to ensure the quality of GENEBRE's products and also to offer added value to our clients.
In 2012, we obtained the certification for the Environmental Management System. This system is certified according to the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015, also by TÜV Rheinland. GENEBRE QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
