Sirca S60 Series Three-Piece Ball Valve
The Sirca S60 is a full-bore, three-piece stainless-steel ball valve for bidirectional on/off isolation. Its removable centre section allows access to the ball, seats and body seals while the end connections remain installed in the pipeline, reducing pipework disturbance during maintenance.
Operating Data
- Size range: 1/4″–4″
- Maximum nominal pressure: PN63
- Temperature range: −25 to +200 °C
- Standard threads: BSPP
- Optional connections: NPT, BSPT, socket-weld or butt-weld
- Rotation: 90°
- Flow direction: bidirectional
- Actuator mounting: DIN/ISO 5211
Permissible pressure decreases as temperature increases and varies by valve size. Selection must therefore follow the manufacturer’s pressure–temperature diagram rather than the PN63 designation alone.
Materials and Sealing
The body and end caps are ASTM A351 CF8M stainless steel, with an AISI 316 ball and AISI 304 stem and bolting. Standard sealing includes PTFE seats, R-PTFE body gaskets with 15% glass fibre and an FKM stem O-ring. Carbon/graphite-filled PTFE is available for specific operating conditions.
The valve incorporates an anti-blowout stem, adjustable Chevron-type packing and an antistatic device.
Actuation and Applications
Available operating options include:
- Manual lever
- Double-acting pneumatic actuator
- Spring-return pneumatic actuator
- Electric quarter-turn actuator
Typical media include water, compressed air, clean process liquids and compatible chemical agents. The valve is intended primarily for fully open or fully closed operation, not continuous throttling.
For welded-end versions, the centre section should be removed before final welding to prevent thermal damage to seats and seals.
