Globe Valve Angle Cast Iron with non return plug JIS 16K - F7378
Cast Iron Angle SDNR Valve JIS 16K F7378
The JIS F7378 is an angle pattern cast iron SDNR (screw-down non-return) valve for marine piping systems with JIS 16K flanged connections. Product classification: angle SDNR valve with non-return function, type F7378.
Operation
The valve changes flow direction by 90°. The handwheel actuates a disc that seats mechanically for isolation. When open, the disc acts as a non-return element, restricting backflow. Standard JIS F7378:1996 covers cast iron 16K screw-down check angle valves for shipbuilding and marine applications.

Test Pressure
F7378 series: hydrostatic shell test 3.2 MPa, seat test 2.38 MPa for DN50–DN200. Final values must be confirmed by manufacturer’s test certificate.
Suitable Media
Applicable for fresh water, seawater, air, inert gases, steam, and oil, provided temperature, corrosion, and trim selection comply with project specifications.
Selection vs F7377 and F7376
F7378 is selected over F7377 when an angle pattern and flow direction change are required. Use instead of F7376 for JIS 16K lines (not JIS 10K). Not intended for precision control; primary use is isolation and non-return.
Maintenance
Inspect stem packing, seat/disc condition, free movement of the non-return disc, and body corrosion, especially in seawater or steam thermal cycling.
