The ADCA SI115 is a saturated steam injector designed for direct heating of liquids within tanks, wash baths, and process vessels. Steam enters axially through the injector body and mixes with the process liquid, which is drawn in via radial ports. The device contains no moving parts and does not function as a control or isolation valve.
Sizing is based on required steam flow (kg/h) and available inlet pressure. For example, at 5.5 bar and a demand of 230 kg/h saturated steam, a single SI115 delivers approximately 110 kg/h; three injectors are recommended to meet the load. The shaded area of the selection chart indicates quieter operation.
Install the SI115 as low as possible in the tank, below the temperature sensor level. Maintain a minimum water depth of 100 mm below the injector. Clearance from tank wall depends on operating pressure: 250 mm (2–4 bar), 300 mm (4–8 bar), 350 mm (8–10 bar), 400 mm (10–14 bar), 350 mm (14–17 bar).
Typical installations include a steam strainer, isolation valve, temperature controller, vacuum breaker (VB21), and a check valve if the steam line is below liquid level to prevent backflow.
Suitable for heating water and compatible process liquids in CIP tanks, wash baths, industrial vessels, and open basins where direct steam contact is permissible. Not recommended where dilution from steam condensate is unacceptable.
