ADCA DSH units are direct steam injection humidifiers designed for ductwork and air handling units (AHUs). Steam is supplied through a filter, optional pressure reducing valve, and S16TSS steam separator before entering the injection tubes. This configuration minimizes condensate carryover into the supply air stream.
Selection is not based solely on diameter. Required data: humidification load (kg/h), steam pressure, inlet air temperature, inlet/outlet relative humidity, and duct dimensions. Absorption distance must be verified upstream of filters, fans, bends, or branches, as unabsorbed steam may condense on downstream surfaces.
Single-tube configuration is used when load and available absorption distance are sufficient. Multi-tube is selected for higher loads, large AHU cross-sections, or limited absorption distance, reducing velocity per injection point and improving mixing.
Flow is regulated by ADCATrol control valve with electric fail-safe actuator AVF or pneumatic actuator PA. Typical assembly includes S16TSS separator, filters, FLT/TSS22 steam traps, pressure reducing valve, pressure gauge, isolation valves, and check valve.
Is plant steam suitable? Yes, but for hygienic applications or spaces with strict air quality requirements, clean steam (ADCAPure) is recommended.
Installation location? For horizontal or vertical ducts, with injection against airflow or upwards in vertical flow.
