BLU ZAC GW Welded – Double-Sided Flow Indicator

The BLU ZAC GW is a double-sided flow indicator with a welded construction. It consists of a tubular body with a central observation opening and two glass plates, held by welded flanges. It is used for visual flow inspection of liquids or gases in industrial pipelines.

Indicator Versions

The GW can be delivered without an internal indicator element or with:

Selection depends on fluid transparency, flow rate, flow direction, and need for simple visual confirmation or internal check arrangement.

Application Scope

Typical uses include steam mains, tracing lines, turbine lines, marine applications, presses, and process networks. Final operating pressure is determined not only by body material per ASME B16.34 but also by glass limit, diameter, temperature, and connection construction.

Installation and Maintenance

The indicator can operate in any position, with horizontal installation preferred. Line isolation, venting, and hazardous residue checks are required before maintenance. Gaskets are replaced after disassembly, and restart is gradual with leak checks.

WELDED – FLOW INDICATOR

Sight glass indicators are pieces of equipment used to observe the flow of a fluid in a pipe.

Comprising a flanged tube pierced at the center, with two pieces of glass held in place by two welded flanges, the sight glass indicator may contain a floating or static flow indicator, which allows for instant, safe monitoring of flow inside the pipe.

On request, special versions for pressures and temperatures specified by the customer can be produced for use in a wide variety of industrial applications.
