Tubular Flow Indicator NORIS Bauform 20-A
The NORIS 020-A is a tubular flow indicator with ANSI 150 lbs RF flanges, designed for local visual monitoring of liquids and gases in horizontal or vertical pipelines. It is used when confirmation of flow presence, bubbles, fluid color, filling, or draining is required without a measuring instrument.

Application Scope
Type 020-A is selected for ANSI lines where visual indication must be within the pipeline and not in a side branch. Suitable for process water, cooling circuits, neutral fluids, compatible chemicals, low-pressure condensate, and gases, provided pressure, temperature, and gasket chemical compatibility are confirmed.
Material Selection
The 1.0425 / H II option typically covers auxiliary networks and neutral fluids. The 1.4571 is preferred in more corrosive environments, chemical processes, or where stainless construction is required. The ANSI 150 lbs class refers to flange connection; the indicator's allowable pressure is limited by the glass tube and diameter.
Installation and Maintenance
Installation should be free of mechanical stresses from the piping, vibrations, and sudden pressure surges. In areas with potential mechanical impact, an acrylic glass protective casing or longer construction length may be requested.
FAQ
Does it accept an actuator?
No. It is a passive visual monitoring component.
What is the main difference of 020-A?
The 020-A version is the ANSI execution with 150 lbs RF flanges.
Can it be used in steam?
Only after checking pressure, temperature, and suitability of glass/gaskets for the specific line.
